ince its establishment, Xinhuan Environmental Protection has always adhered to innovation-driven development, actively responded to the national ecological environmental protection strategy, kept up with the development trend of the environmental protection industry, continuously increased investment in technological innovation, and actively built a technical development organization system that meets the requirements of the company's development strategy. It has a research and development team composed of ecxperts, senior engineers, engineers, and other technical personnel at various levels, including 10 senior engineers, 17 engineers, 5 first-level construction engineers, 9 second-level construction engineers, and 2 registered environmental engineers. Their majors cover machinery, environmental protection, construction, HVAC, biology, electrical and other fields, and more than half of the R&D personnel have more than 15 years of experience. In addition, Xinhuan Environmental Protection has carried out industry-university-research cooperation with Tsinghua University, South China University of Technology, Henan Polytechnic University, Tianjin University and other universities to jointly carry out research on wastewater treatment processes, sludge treatment and disposal technology, deodorization technology, biological leaching technology and other fields, continuously enhancing R&D and innovation strength.

Xinhuan Environmental Protection has independently developed a super high-pressure plate and frame sludge dewatering machine and supporting system, BioHip biological leaching + super high-pressure plate and frame dewatering complete equipment (which can reduce the moisture content of the sludge to less than 40%), and low-energy sludge pyrolysis and gasification technology equipment. It has independently developed a number of innovative technologies such as high-pressure multi-roller belt dehydrator, magnetic coagulation high-efficiency precipitation system process and equipment, XH biofilm process wastewater upgrading technology, XH assembled integrated wastewater treatment process and equipment, various deodorization technologies and devices, second separation pretreatment technology, and electric osmotic belt dehydrator (developed in cooperation with South Korea), and other high-end technical products and equipment. It has cultivated and domesticated special phosphorus-removing bacteria and special denitrifying bacteria.

• Experimental Research and Development Center

Xinhuan Environmental Protection has an experimental research center with an office area of over 1,000m2 in Shenzhen, equipped with more than 40 sets of advanced experimental equipment. It mainly carries out research on the development and application of sludge, wastewater, waste gas and other related technologies, including the development of sludge harmless, reduction and recycling technology, biological technology development of wastewater denitrification and phosphorus removal, biological deodorization technology development, etc.

• Industry-university-research cooperation

In 2017, Xinhuan Environmental Protection and Henan Polytechnic University established a postdoctoral innovation practice base at Xinhuan's production and manufacturing base (Zhongshan City), committed to building the innovation practice base into an important base for scientific research and postdoctoral training in Zhongshan City, as well as a cradle for cultivating senior talents.

• International Cooperation

We have carried out long-term international technical cooperation with Korean KWT Company on electro-osmotic sewage dehydration technology, French Faivre Company on precision filtration equipment, German TerraNova Energy Company on HTC sludge hydrothermal carbonization technology, and German Stela drying equipment.

The two parties officially signed a contract at the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Xinhuan Group in 2017.

Since its establishment, Xinhuan Group has attached great importance to technological innovation and continuously increased investment in research and development. Its annual R&D expenses as a percentage of sales revenue have been increasing year by year.
